My name is Sarah Taylor and I host Between The Legs (BTLpodcast).
I first was introduced to motorcycles by my dad and dirt biking at summer camp. I dreamed of getting a license in high school but wasn't able to until after graduating college and meeting a friend who convinced me to finally do it. If you're reading this and thinking "should I?".. you should do it!
My first bike was a 2005 Suzuki GS500F and I loved every minute on it. Unfortunately, Suzie was stolen and damaged. I then moved on to a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 650 ABS. My fast Tomato was squashed only a month later when I dropped it in a turn. Doh. Next was the 2015 Yamaha FZ07. That machine was awesome. Super lightweight, great in turns, etc but was also stolen not even a year later.
As you can see, my first few years were a little rough for a beginner but I'm just as enthusiastic about it as I was on day one!! I love riding and the confidence it gives me. I'm currently sitting on a 2001 Ducati Monster 900 that was beautifully souped-up by its' past owner, a mechanic in SC.
I grew up the oldest of five kids and the daughter of two wonderful parents. They taught us the power of curiosity, expression, and independence - all things riding provides. It's no wonder I started a podcast! I'm eternally thankful for the people I've been introduced to and the stories I've heard. I hope you, the listeners, get as much out of it as I do.
